Chinese Mythical Creature Bookmarks

15 x 5 cm matte bookmarks with tassels based on Chinese mythical animals. The four creatures on the bottom are the Four Symbols in the Chinese mythology. They are viewed to guard the four cardinal directions in the East Asian culture, originating from China. They also represent other things, like the seasons. The Azure Dragon of the East guards spring, the Vermilion Bird of the South summer, the White Tiger of the West fall and the Black Tortoise of the North winter. The tiger and dragon on the top on the other hand represent Yin and Yang.
